2 Events: A&D Thursdays and Cocktails on the Runway

The fashion, art and design community in downtown Homewood and Edgewood will stay open late on Thurs Oct 2. Participating stores will showcase their latest products, feature special artists, offer Art & Design Thursday discounts and specials, as well as refreshments and music. Happi Boutique is looking for talented artists to display their work in store starting Sept 4, 2008 . Art will be displayed for a few weeks resulting in an auction on Nov 6, 2008. We will continue to take submissions until Nov 1, 2008. This auction will benefit Magic City Harvest, a non-profit prepared and perishable food recovery program that distributes FREE donated excess food to organizations serving those in need, which helps to alleviate hunger and malnutrition in the Greater Birmingham area.
